I am a UCSF Medical School alumnus Class of 2003. God spoke to me during my time at UCSF about how he wanted to raise up a group of his people who love him & represent him on-campus. As a result, I spent a lot of time & energy in praying, encouraging, & organizing.
During my time at UCSF, I was very involved with CCF and was one of the leaders in 2001-02. The longtime Intervarsity/CMDA staff member had just left in 2001, so CCF began to struggle. The number of committed members was low and our impact on-campus was small. When I graduated in 2003, CCF was longer meeting regularly. I left wondering whether I had heard God at all regarding UCSF.
During my busy residency years, I heard that God had brought in fresh blood, allowing the community of believers to make a resurgence. I didn't know any details until I saw the CCF website yesterday. What a joy it was for me to see that God is unifying a group of his people at UCSF. I realize all the more that I have little patience & faith in our Lord who does more than anything that I can conceive.
